How Do We Work?

You and your project are unique, and so it is necessary to ascertain the scope of your project in order to develop a program just for you. Our design fee is tailored to the scope of the endeavor, and the complexity of the site.

In order to evaluate your project, we will need to obtain any plot/civil/topography plans, architectural drawings of your home, and a wish list of items that you would like to have included in the project. Panoramic photos of your property from key vantage points are also very useful.

Once we have evaluated your project and we have both agreed on a working arrangement, we accept a 50% deposit to secure a position on our calendar. The 50% balance is due upon presentation of the design. Our experience has proven that through our client interview and thoughtful site evaluation, we can discover that one ultimate solution for your yard. If needed, one revision is included in our base fee. Revisions are enhancements to the design as derived from the initial client interview.

Once the design is complete, we will prepare an estimate for construction through one of our affiliated contracting firms. Due to the stringent construction standards that we demand on your behalf, it is our policy (for in state clients) to accept bids for construction through our select builders only. We have chosen not to engage in design work for projects going to open bid, because we believe fundamentally that in order for your design to be carried through to completion as envisioned, it must be supervised and implemented by like minded and knowledgeable craftsmen.

Once a construction contract has been commenced, Bianchi Design will assist the builder in preparing the shop drawings for construction and as needed, Bianchi Design will assist in ongoing design decisions throughout the course of the project.
