Emerging from a canyon carved into the Tucson foothills, this project turns raw desert drama into a masterwork of modern desert living. From the moment guests arrive, they are guided through a choreographed sequence of discovery: rusted steel walls, floating steps, and lyrical panels that echo the architecture while building anticipation.
A central reflecting pool and fire feature create a courtyard of intimacy and intrigue, with geometry that mirrors the rising desert terrain.
In the rear, a vanishing-edge pool and spa nestle into a hewn canyon wall, while fire bowls and fountains offer rhythm, warmth, and wonder. Throughout, a modular grid of concrete pads, sculptural planting, and carefully curated lighting unite the built and natural worlds in seamless dialogue.

“Bianchi was absolutely an integral part of my team in creating Rancho Neuveau. The house is an amazing modern ranch set in the midst of forest of unending saguaros and boulders. And the home works with the site especially because of Kirk's eye for the big picture. He didn't just drop in a pool and walk away.
Kirk took in the experience of the entire outdoors, and choreographed every step one took from the curb to the parking to the entry walk to the front door, and through all of the exterior spaces. Everything is so woven together with the architecture and the land itself that you can't tell where one ends and the other begins.
I built Rancho Neaveu as a architecturally minded spec home, and because of the design team – and most especially Bianchi's contribution from Conceptual Design all the way through his time in the field during Construction – the home sold in a declining market in 90 days for cash from an ecstatic buyer out of Toronto, and was the most expensive home sold in Tuscon's MLS.
